The Nitchi HE-50A is manufactured in Japan by Nitchi Co Ltd. HE-50A chain blocks feature high quality materials and leading edge engineering and manufacturing techniques. The robust steel construction gives the HE-50A its lightweight and compact size and the advantages of convenient portability and easy installation. The exceptional short headroom allows the highest possible lift to be obtained.
Reduction Gears and Load Sheave
The HE-50A reduction gears are made of chromium molybdenum steel and the load sheave is made of spheroidal graphite cast iron and both are precision machined and heat-treated. These materials and special heat-treating processes have already proven themselves to be remarkably tough and wear resistant on the reduction gears.
Load Chain
Nitchi’s long experience in manufacturing chain hoists and load chains have enabled them to produce new high grade alloy load chains for the HE-50A. HE-50A load chains are made of special alloy steel, exclusively heat treated for high elongation, high tensile strength and high resistance against wear.
Optional Overload Protection
Nitchi overload protection is factory set to 125% of the WLL and is achieved by using a special friction clutch disc hub on the lever hoist and a special friction clutch hand wheel on the chain hoist.The hoist will not lift the load if the load is in excess of 125% of the WLL but the brake will continue to function normally. The hoist will resume normal operation when the load is reduced to less than 125% of the WLL.
Hooks
The extremely easy to use, large opening and deep pocketed newly designed HE-50A hooks are made of high quality material, drop forged and expertly heat treated for great strength and long wearing. Both top and bottom hooks on the HE-50A have two convex marks for checking the opening of the hooks. If the distance between the two convex marks exceeds the permissible limit, indicated in the manual supplied with each hoist, the hook is dangerously deformed and must be replaced at once.
Double-Cover Protection
Chain blocks are used in all types of harsh environments. The brake system of the HE-50A is protected by the hand wheel cover and the ratchet cover. The double cover protection guards against rain, dust and other contaminants.
Load Brake
The precision ratchet type automatic mechanical brake engages instantly and provides uniform performance. When lowering, a load is under perfect control at all times, this is very important where accurate movement is demanded for spotting loads.
Pulling Effort
When the HE-50A was being designed extra attention was given to the pulling efforts and they have been lowered considerably to obtain higher productivity with as little effort as possible. The pulling effort required to release the brake is also very light with the HE-50A.
Spares
The Nitchi range of Manual Chain Hoists are fully repariable and spare availability is good, therefore giving long and extended length service with the same hoist!
The Nitchi HE-50A manual chain block is the sister hoist to the H-50A chain hoist, although classed as the `economy' series within the Nitchi range of chain blocks it is still a very high quality and heavy duty chain block and will reward the purchaser of this hoist with long time use.
